European trade shows and buyer meetings

A stand at a European fair costs a lot, and many factories come home with a bag of business cards and few orders. We make the show work: the right fair for your category, meetings booked with buyers before the show, and follow-up of every contact afterwards.

We can visit a fair on your behalf, share a stand with you, or staff your own stand with people who speak the buyers’ languages.

How to get orders from a European trade show

European buyers plan their fair visits weeks in advance. They come with a list of suppliers they already want to meet. A factory that writes to buyers only after the show is already late. The work starts two to three months before the fair and continues for months after it.

Choosing the right fair

For many consumer categories the main fairs are in Germany. Examples for the 2027 season: Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg for toys (2–6 February 2027), Ambiente and Christmasworld in Frankfurt for home, gifts and seasonal decoration (29 January – 2 February 2027), and PSI for promotional products, which moves to Cologne from 2027 (12–14 January 2027). There are also strong regional and specialist fairs in Poland, Italy, France and the Netherlands. Dates are set by the organisers and should always be checked on their websites. We recommend the fair after looking at who exhibits and who visits in your category, not only at its size.

Before, during and after

Before the show we write to target buyers in their languages and book meetings. During the show we meet buyers with you, or for you, and note every conversation in the CRM. After the show we send offers and samples, and follow up until each contact says yes, no or “next season”. These contacts are then handled under our sales representation or distributor search service.

Visiting instead of exhibiting

A stand is not always needed for a first season. We can visit a fair with your catalogue and samples, meet buyers at their stands or in the meeting areas, and report back. This is a lower-cost way to test a market before you invest in a stand. See market entry study.

Frequently asked questions

Which European trade shows should a Chinese factory attend?

It depends on the category. For toys, gifts, home goods and promotional products the leading fairs are in Germany; other categories have strong fairs in Italy, France, Poland or the Netherlands. We recommend fairs after checking who exhibits and who visits in your category.

Can you attend a fair for us without our team travelling?

Yes. We can visit the fair with your catalogue and samples, meet buyers and report back daily, or staff a shared stand for you. Your team joins online calls when a buyer wants to talk to the factory.

How much does trade-show support cost?

Our work is part of the Sales Partner or Exclusive package, or is quoted separately for one show. Stand space, construction, travel and samples are invoiced at cost after your approval. The proposal lists all costs before you decide.

When should we start preparing?

Four to six months before the fair if you want a stand, because organisers allocate space early. For a visit, two to three months is enough to book meetings with buyers.

Where can we find the 2026 and 2027 European fair calendar?

Each organiser publishes its dates on its website, and dates sometimes change. We keep a list of the fairs relevant to your category and check the dates with the organiser before booking anything.

What happens to the contacts after the show?

Every contact is entered into the CRM and followed up with offers and samples. Buyers who order through this work are registered as introduced by us, under the same rules as in our sales representation contract.
