Catalogues, listings and offers in European languages

A European buyer decides in the first minute whether your offer is serious. A catalogue in clumsy English, a price list without Incoterms or a label in the wrong language ends the conversation. We write your sales materials in the buyer’s language, the way local B2B buyers expect to read them.

Which language should you use to win European buyers?

English works for first contact with large importers and for trade shows. It is not enough for most of the market. Buyers at a Polish wholesaler, a German garden centre or an Italian regional distributor read, compare and forward offers in their own language. Their colleagues in purchasing, marketing and the warehouse often do not use English at all.

That is why we prepare the key materials in the language of each target country: Polish, German, French, Italian, Spanish and English, and other EU languages on request. Our team speaks Chinese and English with you, so nothing is lost between your product engineers and the European text.

Written for buyers, not translated word by word

A machine translation of a Chinese catalogue usually keeps the Chinese structure: long feature lists, no clear answer to what the buyer needs to know. We rebuild the text around European buying questions: what the product is for, what makes it different, packaging units and MOQ, price basis and Incoterms, delivery time, certificates and who is responsible for the product in the EU.

We use the words buyers actually search for in each country. A product that is “plush toy” in English is “Plüschtier” in German and “maskotka” or “pluszak” in Polish; the right term decides whether a buyer finds you on Google, a marketplace or a B2B portal.

Labels and instructions that pass inspection

Consumer products sold in the EU need safety information and instructions in the language of the country where they are sold, plus the name and contact of the manufacturer and of the EU responsible person. We prepare label texts and user manuals with these elements and check them against the requirements for your product type. Final conformity remains the responsibility of the manufacturer; see EU compliance.

Frequently asked questions

Which language is best for selling to European buyers?

The language of the buyer’s country. English is fine for the first contact with large importers, but most wholesalers, shops and chains compare offers in their own language. We start with the languages of your first target markets, usually Polish and German.

Is localisation included in the Sales Partner package?

Yes, the offer and a short catalogue in the languages of your 1–2 target countries are part of Sales Partner. Long documents such as full manuals or large catalogues are quoted separately and invoiced at cost after your approval.

Can you translate directly from Chinese?

Yes. Our team works with Chinese and English source texts. Technical terms are agreed with your engineers before we write the European versions.

Do you check that labels meet EU rules?

We prepare label texts with the elements required for your product type, including the EU contact details, and check them against the applicable rules. The final responsibility for conformity stays with the manufacturer, and for some products a notified body or test laboratory is involved.

Do you use machine translation?

We may use tools for a first draft, but every text is written and checked by a person who speaks the language natively. A buyer should never feel that the text was translated.
